Maiwut Project Planning
In March and April, 2021, Aqua-Africa’s Project Director, Mabior Acouth spent several weeks in Maiwut Town, Upper Nile State, South Sudan. Mr. Acouth gathered detailed information about the status of the communities water wells, their geolocations, and their maintenance. He met with community leaders and technicians in the community. He was pleased to learn that there were several trained plumbers in Maiwut because of past work in the community resulting from training provided by USAID. Aqua-Africa has a pledge of support from Rotary International to complete a major water and power project in Maiwut in 2022 and 2023, and is excited to help the community’s residents develop this new life-changing infrastructure.
